Vietnam, Russia sign nuclear deal

Russia and Vietnam have signed a deal worth an estimated US$5.6 billion for the Southeast Asian country's first nuclear power plant as Moscow seeks greater influence in the region. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev witnessed the signing, part of an effort to boost ties with his country's former Soviet-era communist ally.

越南31日宣布和日本合作開採稀土與建造核能發電廠，為兩國合作寫下新頁。同日，越南也和俄羅斯簽訂合作協議，準備興建國內第一座核能發電廠。

台灣仁寶公司在越南投資5億美元的電子廠將於明年初投產

據越南《投資報》10月18日報道，台灣仁寶（Compal）公司在越南永福省(Vinh Phuc)平川（BinhXuyen）工業區投資5億美元的電子廠將於2011年1季度投產，該廠主要生產筆記本電腦。除該項目外，仁寶公司還在越南投資7500萬美元興建芭善（Ba Thien）工業區，現正在進行基礎設施。

The Board of Directors approved the creation of a CCIM chapter in Taiwan. During the past five years, Taiwan has hosted dozens of CCIM courses and has grown to more than 70 members. Michael Tseng, 曾東茂, CCIM, will serve as the chapter's president during its inaugural year. Tseng is a 2008 graduate of the Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy and is a CCIM instructor.
